Marine Navigation Made Smarter

Introduction

WAVZ is a cross-platform mobile navigation app (iOS and Android) designed primarily for safe and informed travel at sea. Similar to Waze, but built for marine environments, WAVZ allows users to pin Hazards, Police checks, and Points of Interest (POIs) on a live map. As users approach these pins, the app sends real-time alerts to help them make safe decisions on the water. Community voting ensures only accurate and relevant pins remain on the map.

My Role

I worked as the UI/UX Designer for WAVZ. My responsibilities included analysing user needs for marine navigation, reviewing competitor apps, and defining user flows for hazard reporting and alerting. I created all wireframes and high-fidelity screens, shaped the interaction design, and supported the product team with a clear visual system for iOS and Android.
